The main aim of the Language, Mind and Cognition Group (LanCog) is to carry out high quality research on central philosophical problems about the nature of language, mind and cognition.

Guided By Analytic Philosophy

Our activity is guided by the standards of analytic philosophy, a tradition whose distinctive traits are the clarity and rigour deployed in formulating problems and arguments, and the focus on public discussion and critical examination of ideas.

Our Editions

LanCog publishes Disputatio — International Journal of Philosophy, an open-access journal in the analytic tradition, and the Compêndio em Linha de Problemas de Filosofia Analítica, a free volume of peer-reviewed essays on core topics in analytic philosophy.
