They point to the connections between Pl\u00fccker and Clebsch\u2019s understanding of functions \u2013 in the context of the duality principle in projective geometry \u2013 and Frege\u2019s functional approach. However, I think more should be said about Frege\u2019s early conception of function, developed by Frege in\u00a0<em>Begriffsschrift<\/em>\u00a0(1879). In this talk, I first provide new textual evidence to Tappenden and Wilson\u2019s claim that substantial sources of influence on Frege\u2019s early notion of function can be found in Clebsch and Pl\u00fccker\u2019s works.
